These terms govern your use of CustomNameTrace. By using this site, you agree to them. We've kept them as short as we reasonably can while still covering what a free web tool like this needs to cover — see our Privacy Policy for how we handle data specifically.

What this site is

CustomNameTrace is a free, browser-based tool for generating printable tracing worksheets — for names, numbers, and other short text. It does not require an account, does not store the content you type into it, and is provided to you at no cost. Because there is no account system or paid tier, these terms apply equally to every visitor.

Acceptable use

You may use this site to generate worksheets for personal, educational, homeschool, therapeutic, or classroom use, including printing multiple copies for a group of students through Batch / Teacher Mode. You may not use this site to generate content that is unlawful, that impersonates another real person without their consent in a harmful way, or to attempt to disrupt, overload, or gain unauthorized access to the underlying application (for example, automated scripts that hammer the PDF-generation endpoint outside of normal use). We reserve the right to rate-limit or block traffic that we reasonably believe is abusive, without notice.

No account, no warranty on availability

Because there's no account system, there's nothing to suspend or terminate on an individual basis — access to the site is effectively the same for every visitor. We do not guarantee the site will be available at all times, free of errors, or uninterrupted; it's run on ordinary web hosting, and outages, maintenance windows, or unexpected issues can happen. We'll fix problems as we become aware of them, but we make no formal uptime commitment.

Intellectual property

The site and its code. The design, code, and editorial content of this site (the articles, FAQ answers, and similar text) are owned by CustomNameTrace unless otherwise noted, and may not be copied or republished wholesale without permission. You're welcome to link to any page on this site.

The fonts. Worksheets are rendered using the Edu VIC WA NT font family, sourced from Google Fonts and licensed under the SIL Open Font License, which permits free use including in the PDFs this site generates for you. The font's license does not transfer any trademark rights, and the font itself remains the property of its original creators.

What you generate. The worksheets you create — the specific PDF containing the name or text you typed — are yours to print, copy, and use freely for personal or classroom purposes. We don't retain a copy, so we have no claim on it after it's generated and delivered to you.

No professional advice

CustomNameTrace is an educational practice tool, not a substitute for professional guidance. Content on this site that discusses handwriting development, fine motor skills, or early-childhood safety practices (for example, on the Family & Safety Info page) is general educational information, not medical, therapeutic, or safety advice specific to your child. If you have concerns about a child's developmental progress, consult a qualified professional such as a pediatrician or occupational therapist.

Disclaimer and limitation of liability

This site is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to fitness for a particular purpose. We work to keep the rendering accurate — guide-line alignment, font rendering, and PDF output — but we don't guarantee the output will be error-free in every browser, printer, or paper size combination. To the fullest extent permitted by law, CustomNameTrace and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, this site. Because the site is free and no payment is exchanged, our aggregate liability to you for any claim is limited to zero.

Third-party links and services

This site links to external resources (including our blog) and loads third-party services such as Google Fonts and a CDN-hosted CSS framework, as described in our Privacy Policy. We're not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of any third-party site or service we link to or that we depend on to render this site.

Advertising

This site displays advertising through Google AdSense to help cover hosting and development costs — see our About page for more on that decision. Ads are served by third parties and are not endorsements by CustomNameTrace of the products or services advertised.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the site changes — for example, if we add new features that need their own rules. We'll update the "Last updated" date above when we do. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
