Which case should come first?
Most early-learning programs introduce uppercase letters first, since their simpler, straighter shapes are easier for a beginner's hand, then move to lowercase once a child is comfortable holding a pencil and following a line. Mixed-case pages are useful once both forms are familiar, to reinforce that they represent the same letter.
