About Utah
Utah is home to five different national parks, more nicknamed "Mighty 5" red-rock landscapes than almost any other state its size, and Salt Lake City, its capital, sits right next to the Great Salt Lake, one of the largest saltwater lakes in the Western Hemisphere. The state also hosted the 2002 Winter Olympics.

Using an "I Live in Salt Lake City" worksheet
Print the worksheet at full size and have the child say "I live in Salt Lake City" aloud before and after tracing it — pairing the spoken phrase with the written word helps the city name feel like a real, personally meaningful fact rather than an arbitrary word to copy.

Pairing Utah's city with a child's own name
Practicing Salt Lake City alongside a child's own name tracing worksheet builds a small set of personal facts a child can write confidently — their name, and where they live — well before they're writing full sentences.
