Ellis Custom Name Tracing - Fill-in-the-Blank Free Worksheet

This is one of two new practice styles built on Ellis's existing worksheet data — the other builds the name up letter by letter instead of blanking one. Both are available for Ellis through the interactive editor too, under Style.

Unlike a tracing worksheet, Ellis's missing-letter version tests whether a child can recall the whole name well enough to fill in whichever letter is left out — a useful check after tracing practice has already built the motor pattern.

This free worksheet prints Ellis once per row with one letter left blank each time, moving to a different letter on every row — the child writes in the missing letter rather than tracing the whole word.
